We have learned that Microsoft has lost a patent court battle over how ActiveX-related website content can be presented. This is affecting websites across the globe as they appear in Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser. Now, on display of flash content, and some other ActiveX software, like some WYSIWYG HTML editors, users are being prompted to "Press SPACEBAR or ENTER to activate and use this control" when a page displays, or are given this message when mousing over such an object.
Older Presto administration back-ends are affected by this and we are contacting particular Presto owners about any desire they may have to avoid this prompt. We can upgrade old installations that have used the Activedit or soEditor WYSIWYG editors to a newer editor we are using on more recent Presto's, called FCKeditor. You can read more about this open source product at FCKeditor.net. We thoroughly recommend it in preference to the other editors we have used in the past.
